Some time later...

You come to some time later. You have a moment of thoughtlessness before the worst fucking headache you've ever had pounds away in your head. Half your face is caked in dried blood, as is the hand you were passed out on .

That's right, you remember now. You were knocked out by a woman wearing a cobbled school uniform. And there was a mech? You're still a little confused.

Then you realise you're in a cage. You jump up and shake against the door, but while the lock is old and rusted it remains locked. You sigh, slumping down on your knees defeated.

"Oh hey, you've come to." You hear the voice coming from the cage next to yours. It's a young man, wearing a track suit with leather shinpads stitched onto the knees and elbows. His hair is parted in the middle, with one half being so short to be nearly shaven, and on the other bangs that droops to the side. "You've been out for a couple hours. You feeling alright?"

You nod. "Ah good, thought you might've died. I'm Joel." You introduce yourself to him, and then ask where you are.

"Ah well uh, hm. I'm not sure myself honestly. I've been here nearly for a month too. The nice ladies that brought you here were originally some high school leavers that came here for a trip before they went to college. At least, that's what one of the previous prisoners told me. They knew a little Japanese."

You sit there listening to Joel. You're surprised that your captors were school goers not so long ago, and that they don't know any English.

"I know right? London might've not been the best place to visit if you only know Japanese. Still, it sucks for them, doesn't it? At least you can communicate with the other gangs." He pauses to look around nervously, before continuing. "That mech is really something though. Like, they must've been the top of their class in school or something, cause that's really impressive."
