Some Drama between Hanna and Ben

Without answering, Hanna turns away from me and turns to one side. With quick steps she crosses the kitchen and pretends I don't even exist.

"Hannnnnaaaaa ... say something" I now say a little louder.

"And what should I say? It's okay, Ben, I don't know what's going on myself” she says gently with her back to me.

"Then please talk to me, maybe I can help you" I say desperately.

"Help? Ben you are the problem that what has happened the last few days ... I don't even know what I imagined I could have lost my whole family and you are having fun with someone else" she says with an offended voice.

"Hanna .... I .... nothing is going on between me and Pauline" I say in a quick voice, knowing that I am tweaking the story so that it suits me.

“Ben please don't lie to me! I saw how Pauline looks at you, she would like to spread her legs for you immediately” she says angrily.

"Hanna yes, I admit there was a kiss but there was nothing more and I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings" I say soothingly.

"It's okay, Ben ... I'm just an old, married mother" she says resignedly and I think I hear a little sob.

"Hanna, no you are not, you were my first and for me you are a unique, admirable woman" I say truthfully.

"Thank you ... now please leave me alone and change your clothes, I have to carry on" she says in a crumbly voice, still with her back to me.

"Hannna ..." I start but I am interrupted by her.

"Please Ben, let me alone now ... we can talk in peace again tonight" she says again in a firmer voice.

Realizing that this was a clear signal for me to leave, I turn away from Hanna and leave the kitchen. I now go up the stairs with quick steps. When I got upstairs, I see and hear the hustle and bustle of Mike, Laura and Pauline who are all trying to get ready at once.

“Hey, I have to go to the bathroom and take a shower” I say to everyone.

“Can I come with you?” Laura says playfully and gives me a challenging smile.

All four look at each other, and I can see a brief glimmer of jealousy on Pauline's face. But then Mike starts laughing and we all join in.

"Puh, thank you Mike" I think to myself and go to my room to get my laundry.
