Sneaking into Mia's room

Late at night, we find Peter doing something foolish.

"Why am I doing this?" Peter asked himself. "I'm breaking into a cop's house all so I can have a normal study session with my next-door neighbor. This whole thing sounds like a plot of a cheesy romantic comedy than real life."

Never the less Peter found himself opening the unlocked door and started to sneak through the house to find Mia's room. Thankfully Mia's parents were watching TV in another room, just like Mia said they would. He quietly made his way up the stairs and into Mia's room.

"You came. I'm so happy," Mia said in the cutest voice when he opened the door.

When he saw Mia, Peter's doubt, and hesitation of what he was doing vanished, there was no way that Peter would ever pass up a chance of spending time alone with Mia, even if there wasn't any chance of them doing anything naughty.

"I must admit it feels strange sneaking into someone's house at this time of night. I hope your father won't arrest me on the spot if he finds me in his daughter's room," Peter said nervously.

"Don't worry, we will not get caught if we stay quiet," Mia said reassuringly. "Let's just get studying."

Mia then took out her french book and laid down on her bed. Peter was amazed at how large Mia's bed was. Both of them had no trouble laying across it. Peter joined her on the bed and started to study. After a while, they began to talk to each other. It was all just casual stuff at first until Mia brought up an awkward topic.

"I'm not sure how to say this. And I'm so shy in front of people, especially boys. But I didn't want to just study with you tonight," Mia confessed.

"Wait. What?!" Peter said, shocked at where this was going.

"I just couldn't find a better excuse to hang out alone with you," Mia said while blushing. "And, I really like you."

"Why didn't you just tell me this in the first place?" Peter asked, wondering why she when through all this trouble.

"This is really starting to sound more and more like an episode out of a teen drama show,"Peter thought to himself.

"I just wanted to spend time with you outside of school. But I know my mom would never allow it, so I tricked you into coming here. Are you mad at me for lying to you?" Mia asked fearfully.

"Don't worry, Mia. I could never be angry at you," Peter said, making Mia smile.

"So, what about you?" Mia asked.

"What about me?" Peter asked.

"Do you like me?" Mia asked nervously.
