Slytherin

Harry knew Dumbledore was right. This was an opportunity he couldn't pass up. He would have liked to choose Gryffindor to be with his friends, but if he had an opportunity to end the war quicker, he had to take it. He would go undercover in Slytherin, going deep into the serpent's den and gaining their trust.

"Professor Dumbledore, I'll go to Slytherin, if we can end the war quicker then I'll do what's necessary," Harry said. He saw Dumbledore give him a nod in approval.

"Harry you're doing a brave thing. You'll have to be undercover all day every day while you're in school. You can't contact your old friends, you can only contact me in case of an emergency, you'll be all alone." Dumbledore said firmly.

"I know Professor, I'm ready for this," Harry replied with determination in his eyes.

"Good. You're a brave lad." Dumbledore said beaming up at him.

"You'll need a new name when you arrive at Hogwarts, we can't have anyone knowing the truth, "Dumbledore continued.

He knew he couldn't let anyone ever know he was Harry Potter. Harry thought for a minute and finally decided on a good name.
