"Chloe, you're the second-in-command of this company, right?"

"I'd like to think so, yes," she responded in a somewhat snobby tone.

"You resent that," I said. "You work just as hard, if not harder, than Helen."

"Damn right I do."

"So why should she be the one running this company? Why don't you tell all the employees here to secretly start taking clients that you recommend. If Helen finds out and fires you, just start your own competing law firm and try to outdo Helen."

"I'll do that!"
