Simply read

Already exhausted by the day’s events and, despite being assured these clothes would stay visible, she was still nervous about heading out, so she decided to simply stay in her dorm and read. She was miffed she hadn’t gotten the groceries she’d wanted, but hopefully Suzu would finish with her outfit soon, and she could at least try to get things back to some form of normalcy.

She grabbed her book, laid on the bed, and started reading. As she read, she kept having to adjust the slightly small, and sort of itchy outfit. She wanted to change out of it, but didn’t want to leave herself exposed, even right now.

Soon, as she got lost in her book, the day’s events slipped away, and she became content. She even stopped paying attention to the outfit, and soon the entire experience felt like a dream.

Which would prove to be very bad for Ashley.

As she closed the book, finally finished, she was shocked to see the sun beginning to set. It was rare that she was able to read all day without distractions like that, but she welcomed it. Without thinking, she changed out of the outfit, and into her pajamas, yawning. She felt exhausted, and was just going to go to bed early, so she’d be rested for tomorrow’s class.

Ashley locked her dorm room, settled into bed, snuggled up, and soon fell asleep, almost completely forgetting what had happened.
