Simone flirts with a rest stop.

You stare across the field and carefully consider the three proposals.

The client scenario seems the easiest to say yes to. You imagine it's a common fantasy. A little bit of cash and/or a favor for a bit of sex. It's a transactional and mundane thing. Is it really all that different than what you do here? Sex for money is as old as time and a pretty vanilla kind of kink. It seems mostly harmless as porn goes.

The **** skit is a bit more ****. The audience is told to believe that since you had a number of affairs, you deserve to be punished by your husband in a pretty ruthless way. Yet in the end, you're supposed to fall in love with the man doing it. The plot perplexes you. Why exactly would that happen? Except for the fall in love part, it does remind you of your original casting video. You wronged the shopowner and had sex to make it right. No matter how you spin it in your head, the end just makes no sense. Best to skip that one you figure.

The rest stop idea is pretty screwed up but in a mundane 'ripped from the headlines' kinda way. It's pretty much a dark **** fantasy but there's a semi-realistic feel to it. **** happens all the time after all. It's a random "wrong place, wrong time, poor victim" type of story. It feels like a power fantasy pure and simple to you. The folks that watch probably like the idea of controlling someone against their will. Some that have trouble dating might even see it as a **** type scenario depending on how it's written. In a way, that'd make it a bit easier to do. Agra won't be asking you to play along like the plot makes sense to your character at all, you'll just be along for the ride. Even if the premise is a bit creepy, it feels pretty doable. . . maybe.

You tent your fingers under your chin for a moment before turning back to the director.

"I'm seriously leaning toward the rest stop idea."

He tilts his head and looks you in the eye.

"Really? I didn't expect you to seriously consider it. The plot just feels really far from where I'd guessed you were mentally. You did say leaning though."

"Yeah. I get that. I'm surprised it's appealing to me too which is why I'm leaning and not immediately saying yes. The business one would be the easiest to do but it feels like everyone from porn to Hollywood has done a version. It just seems tired. I can't wrap my head around the **** one, so that's out. It leaves me with the rest stop I think."

"Interesting reasoning for choosing this type of video."

"Tell me about it. Looks like I'm talking myself into it," you laugh. "If someone had told me this morning I'd be agreeing to something like this, I'd think they were bonkers. To be honest, I kinda preferred the biker one you described earlier to this. I mean at least that was outside, a restroom just sounds crude. You and the guys write it up but I get to approve the script."

"Sounds like you want to be the producer, Simone."

"Well look at it this way. I could just read the script, say nope, take my $1,000 and walk. I already have the right to refuse to do it. We could also toss this idea and do the business one. I'll be struggle bussing through either, to be honest. This just feels like a concept I want to be careful with and I figured offering to negotiate over the finished script was a nicer approach."

He nods, "That's true. I'm kind of cobbling the story together. The biker one doesn't work as imagined, so we're heavily modifying it. If I'd planned this plot, it'd probably be a truck stop thing but I don't have any big rigs for props. I do agree the men's room isn't my first choice either but the cameras need light to film and they have light. We didn't pack anything for night filming. Justin and I will write this one up and I'll have David work on the business one just in case we can't agree on something. Does that sound fair?"

You glance around the front of the rest stop a bit.

"There is no light on the field, it's true. It does look like there are overhead lights for the front of the building and over the tables. Have you thought about that?"

"Interesting idea," Agra replies thinking a bit.

You offer him your hand.

"Sounds perfect! I promise to try hard to not be a total diva over it. I think we can work it out," you smirk as he shakes your hand.

"Diva? Ouch!"

"Sorry, it was something George said to me earlier. I'm guessing I have a reputation or something."

"Yeah. That's my fault. I have a habit of referring to any model with a restrictive contract that way. I suspect a lot of the guys tagged you with it without me saying a thing."

You stand up and nod.

"Life's like that I guess. Time to go in?"

He stands, "Yep. The boys and I have work to do."

You both walk back to the cabin, discussing minor points. When you get inside, he ducks back into the scriptwriter's room and you take a seat at the table. Luckily cell service is decent so you can play a few games while waiting for word. It's a good hour before the writer's door opens and Agra calls for you.

"We're ready to pitch the idea and discuss rewrites if you are."

You nod, grab your drink, and head in. There's work to discuss and you're weirdly looking forward to it.
