Side with Natalie

"Olivia" You sigh, "Look. Natalie is my friend and she's invited to my birthday party just like you are."

Olivia stares at you irately, "She's also your teacher!"

"...which means that she isn't here to steal me away from you. She's not allowed to. She's be fired"

"So? That doesn't mean anything." She huffs.

You grit your teeth, "Olivia. You're being ridiculous-"

"Ridiculous! You're being ridiculous" Rage burns in her eyes

Failing to make her see how silly she's being,you decide for a more diplomatic approach, "Okay, sorry. You're not being ridiculous, but please...You wanted this to be my birthday party. Don't ruin it over this."

For a moment you think she might still continue the argument, but finally she decides against it, "Fine...But I still don't like it" Then she storms into the living room.

You open the door wider for Natalie who enters, "Sorry about this"

Natalie mutters under her breath."It's fine...although honestly I feel like she gives you a lot of shit."

"She's threatened by you. Give her awhile to calm down...she'll be fine." You hope inwardly that you're right.

"Well, i'll try not to ruin everything...So are you nerds ready to lose at tonight's gaming? If i recall, last time you all had to team up to take me down." Relief floods over you as Natalie goes back to her normal, less serious self. It seems as if tonight isn't going to be a complete disaster.

Fortunately it seems as if that was the only incident of the night. The remaining night goes smoothly. The only thing that portrays the problems that occurred earlier was that occasionally Olivia would shoot an irate glance at Natalie who pretty much ignored her for the entire night and occasionally you.

Of course, Natalie is the master gamer of you all and it takes both you and Dean running as a distraction to bring her down.
