Chapter 65
How did I respond?
Shut the window on him
"Fuck off," I muttered, making to close the window.
"Ah, come on, don't be like -" the man started. I didn't hear the rest of the sentence, as it was blocked by layers of glass.
What a prick.

My alarm blared in my ear, and rolled over, groaning. After turning it off, I stared bleary-eyed at my phone screen for a few seconds before I finally realized that it was still blank. Still no reply from Liam. What the fuck's going on with him?
It seemed like I was the only one alive in this part of town. Wandering the streets around the motel in my school uniform, I didn't see a single person apart from a guy face-down in the gutter, clearly passed out from **** judging by the vodka bottle next to him. Obviously the early morning wasn't rush hour here.
Finally, as I got further away from the outskirts, I found a food place that opened before 6 pm. As i pushed the door to the diner open, the man behind the counter, dressed in a classic red and white apron that just about covered his stomach, looked up. "Howdy there, miss. What can I get ya?"
"Uhh ..." I looked up at the menus. "Blueberry pancakes, please."
"Coming right up," he smiled.
My stomach growled as the smell of the pancakes wafted into my nostrils, and I realized how desperately hungry I was. As soon as they arrived, I wolfed them down, barely even registering that they were surprisingly good.
"Whoa," the man said. "You need some more, there, miss?"
"Yes, please," I said sheepishly, before letting out a loud burp. I quickly glanced around in embarrassment, but the diner was empty apart from the owner. "Sorry."
"Just glad you enjoyed them," he chuckled, whistling as he started on another batch.
I finished the second plate almost as fast as the first, but managed to enjoy it a bit more. "Can I have the bill?" He nodded, still whistling, and handed it to me along with a card reader. I tapped my card on the reader. Then I frowned. I tried again.
"Looks like your bank account's too low," the owner said.
Gimme a break.
"Shit, sorry," I said. I quickly got out some cash and handed it over. Great. I have ... I counted quickly... $31.60 left to survive on for the foreseeable future. Just great.
He handed me the change.
"Thanks," I said, getting up. "I'd leave a tip, but apparently I'm broke."
"Ain't we all," he smiled. "Don't worry about it, kid."
I smiled sheepishly, wishing I could come up with something appropriate to say, but nothing came out, and I left without saying another word.

Walking through the school gates felt like I was walking into the lion's den. A subtle whisper here, a finger pointed in my direction there. Drawing on my experiences of being onstage, I tried to project an aura of confidence, but on the inside I wanted nothing more than to turn around and leg it. Yeah, not a great plan.
Reaching my locker, I opened it and began putting the right books in my backpack. Then I stopped. Taped onto the inside of my locker was a picture of a cute half-Asian smiling sexily at me as she licked cum off her finger. Underneath it was a piece of paper with the words, "THE BOYS' BATHROOM IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER, SLUT."
Anger boiled in my stomach, and I **** it down. Taking them down, I carried on packing my bag for the day.
What next?

Astray
A romance between adopted siblings ... and others
Liam and Emily are used to being close - they're brother and sister, after all - but what happens when they get a little too close for comfort? Follow their story as these two teenagers navigate school, friends, and most dangerously, their own libidos. There will of course be plenty of smut, but hopefully there will be room for some drama as well ... you have been warned. I'm a bit crap at publishing regularly so don't expect regular updates, but I hope you enjoy what there is!
