Picking up your coffee your lead Mrs Creech to the waiting area for relatives, filling her in on what you know, she rushes over to her daughter and hugs her before having an awkward moment with Eva. " Eva how is Gemma", Eva shifts Robby in her arms and replies Gemma is in surgery they are waiting.

Not sure what is going on but you remember something happened between Gabbie and Gemma at the start of class and they never speak to each other now, you always thought it was just between them but it seems to be a family thing. Both women don't seem to know how to procced, till they both hug each other and start apologising about how she should not have taken her brothers side and how she should have tried to explain things more.

Taking this chance you step out to call Cherie and fill her in on what has happened, she understands and hopes everything goes ok, just as Cherie hangs up Mrs Creech comes over and hands you a t shirt from the gift shop and points to your stained top, taking the hint you quickly change and are about to return when officer Shay walks past, deciding to see why she is at the hospital you find her in front of an exam room talking to another officer.

" So has he said anything about the accident" the other officer shakes his head, " he is not making much sense he is so high, drunk or both we will have to wait for him to come round", officer Shay looks pissed and is about to enter the room when she sees you. Walking over you ask why she is here and find out the chief is concerned that this could go south fast so she wants it nipped in the butt quickly.

Agreeing you tell her to take the other officer away and when she comes back the guy will be giving a full confession, entering the exam room the guy is clearly playing up his condition as he is shocked to see you just walk in and take a seat. You do not even bother to be carful you grab one of his cuffed hands and command him to confess the truth to first you then the police. " Look all right I had a few beers and smoked some weed before I drove home its not my fault the other driver didn't get out of my way so I hit the other car and ended up in the ditch no harm man".

Having enough of his crap you command him to tell the same thing to the police when asked and not try to get out of jail or except anything other then a jail sentence, and to jerk off till he fills ok not to touch anybody sexually for oh five years as well. After that you get up and leave passing Officer Shay giving her a nod you return to the waiting area to find Karen and Eva talking about you.

"I don't believe you he is a good one why has Gabbie not reeled him in Karen", Karen shakes her head and sighs, " Eva, ever since her last boyfriend left her Gabbie has been off men this is the first time she has even gone out of the house for things other then university or with me I was getting worried but I think they are just friends she has never really talked about him in anyway other then a friend, friend if you get my meaning".

"You don't think he's gay do you, I mean if he has not hit on Gabbie by now it would explain it". Wondering how to approach this you are saved by a ding as a door opens down the corridor and an older man walks out and Eva shoots out of her seat, "How is she".

The doctor smiles and leads her back to her seat "Gemma is doing fine she is in post op and we will be watching her like a hawk, I must now assume stubborn is a genetic trait as your daughter held on to life like nobody I have ever operated on with injuries like hers, their will be a scar and we will have to wait to see if any other problems arise but I think we got to it all in time". The Doctor turns to you as you have moved up, " young man are you by chance in the medical profession".

Shaking your head you reply you are a student but have completed your courses in biochemistry and biology and are finishing your degrees this year, " shame your quick thinking gave me the time to work with, in this job every second counts". Wondering how he knew you where at the crash and helped, realising the time and not been family you say your goodbyes and return home to bed and crash hard.
