Shocked, angry and determined to help her.

"Wait!", you call out. "I buy her out!"
Several heads turn, including the one from your wife on stage.
"Oscar?", Megan asks, turning her head left and right to locate your voice, but also obviously distressed to hear you at all. You see her cheeks turn crimson, as if the humiliation of being paraded nakedly in front of a crowd has just gotten worse with you watching her as well. You could be mistaken, but it almost seems to you as if Megan has become quite moist between her legs. The sharp and blinding lights directed at the stage are reflecting a glimmer as if from little droplets.
The announcer looks at you, and his facial expression is quite displeased.
"That is not an option, young man", he says indignantly.
"I pay the full 1500 coins!", you call, loudly. Everything to get Megan out of this situation. Everything!
The audience reacts partly with laughter, partly with applause for your heroic stand, while the announcer has turned to another man, discussing the matter. Apparently this is, indeed, not usual. You don't care, of course.

"Alright, young man - pay 1500 coins, and she will be released from the round. We have another candidate waiting in the back." He turns to Megan: "Is this your wish as well, young lady?"

Megan nods emphatically, which prompts some boos from the crowd. You step forward, pushing other guests aside, reach for your coins and pay the announcer the price of 1500 coins. He takes your money, but with a snobbish attitude, then raises his hand, and waves Megan away. Two helpers guide her back behind stage.

"Wait!", you say. "When can I get her back?"
"Get her back?", the announcer looks at you coolly and stiff. "Young man, you payed the price to release her from this competition - not to 'get her back'. She will be freed of those restraints first, and then continue her own way. There are other rooms back there where you don't have access to at the moment.

You curse. This was not how you imagined it. "How do I meet her then?", you insist. The announcer shrugs. "Most probably in the inner rooms", he replies. "That's where everybody meets in the end. And now I must insist that you leave the show here. I do not want any more disturbance, and you are not welcome here after the little stunt you just pulled."

You try to catch a glance of Megan, but don't see any other option than to follow his order. So you continue your path.
