Chapter 24
by CleighW
The neighbors heard a commotion
Shelly and David
David and Shelly were sitting in their living room when they heard lots of commotion coming from next door. “What is that?”, Shelly asks her husband. “No idea…” David answers as he stays focused on reading his newspaper. “It sounded weird hun. I hope everything is ok” she says. “I’m sure everything is fine Shel” David responds still very uninterested. “It sounded like Katie and she sounded scared. She was fine at the church earlier. Maybe I should go check on her?” Shelly says. “Mind your business Shel. It’s nothing for you to worry about I’m sure” David tells her as he gets up and walks to the bathroom.
Shelly was also active at the church like Katie and they often worked on projects together there. Shelly and David were older than Katie by about 20 years. They often found themselves at the same neighborhood gatherings as Katie’s family but usually spent more time with her than anyone else because of their shared faith and church life. Shelly and David didn’t have any children of their own due to infertility issues so they looked at Katie as their unofficial daughter. Shelly had aged well. Much better than her husband. Being in their mid 40s, Shelly could pass for 30s while David appeared much older. She kept her body in good shape. Firm C cups, toned stomach and a nice plump rear end that was just the right mix of muscle and jiggle. She topped it all off with curly blonde hair and those Liberian glasses that drove all the neighborhood boys crazy. She dressed very conservatively much to the disappointment of the men in the neighborhood. They often wondered what she was hiding under her clothes but that was reserved for her husband and no one else.
Shelly stood alone at the window with obvious concern on her face. She clutches the cross she wears around her neck and is worried about her friend. “I know there’s something wrong. I can just feel it! She didn’t sound ok” she thinks to herself. Without saying a word to her husband she quietly walks out, across the yard and over to her neighbors house. She knocks on the door and hears scrambling and mumbling. “One moment!” She hears Donna yell from inside. As Shelly grows more and more impatient the door finally opens. Before Shelly can react, a pale white arm reaches out and grabs her, pulling her inside.
