I fully braced myself to be mercilessly mocked and teased for her finding my porn collection. Lesbian porn, too. What was she going to say? What if she told our parents? I couldn't bear to look at her.

But I snuck a glance anyway. To my surprise, she wasn't grinning like a devil; she had her gaze away from me too. She was shuffling with her feet and playing with her hair, something I knew she did when she was nervous or embarrassed about something.

"Um," Alice finally said. "You know, it's not that I think it's weird." She paused and shifted her eyes to another location that wasn't me. "It's just that I've never watched one before?"

A lot of people don't care about plot, they're just in it for the sex. But I like the story and building that leads to the sex. I like embarrassing situations, sudden confessions, or other ways passionate situations occur. And then I get off to the sex.

"Uh," I muttered back. "Yeah, a lot of porn has these kinds of beginnings."

"Huh," she said thoughtfully as if she was taking in the experience. "So, can we watch it?"

"What." I said for the second time in two minutes.

She pouted. "Don't make me say it again." She slumped down on my pillows, sinking under a blanket.

I was still in shock. The saving grace was that Alice was just as embarrassed as I was in this moment. That made this whole thing bearable. I took a deep breath. My sister just wanted to watch her first porn video with me. That wasn't weird. After all, we just showered together. And that certainly wasn't weird either.

"Okay," I said. "Let's watch it."

"Okay." Alice echoed. And I properly got on the bed ready for a sleepover, sliding my legs under the same blanket Alice was using.

We watched the video in a tense silence. The two actresses, Rachael and Beth, finally started tentatively kissing each other. The story was that Beth came over to Rachael's house to study for an anatomy test, and then things get heated, but Beth is a lesbian, whereas Rachael is straight.
