Chapter 12

What is Jen's decision here?
She takes off the boots and goes down the corridor.
"Nevermind. There's only one key I should worry about. {If Insanity < 60}I'm so tired of wearing these absurd heels. Let's get rid of them.{else}Perhaps I can find a stylish replacement for them... later.{endif}"
Jen swiped the rest of the keys away and sat on the chair. The key entered the keyhole without resistance, and the massive ankle strap unlocked with a metallic crisp, soon followed by the second one. The girl wiggled her hurting sweaty feet out and massaged them gently one after another. She tried to stand up flat-footed, but the stretching pain on the back of her ankles was too much for the moment.
Jen gasped and took a tiptoe position to have a better time moving around. Now it was time to make progress. The girl found the wall and went down the corridor.
Approximately fifty yards later the wall went 90 degrees to the right before soon returning to the original direction. Jen thought this was weird until her fingers met the polished handle of a handrail.
"Whoa! A staircase down! Am I really on the right way?"
At that point she heard quiet saxophone music coming from somewhere on this floor. She had a picture of a bar in her mind right away.
"{If Escaped Victorian shop = true}I know how it ended with the Victorian shop. This is all highly suspicious.{else}I spent a lot of happy and irresponsible nights in bars and clubs... If there are more people in this crazy mall, this would be the surest place to find them.{endif}"
Which way to go?
