She reaches the pistol!

Stretching as much as she can, Marie finally grabs the grip of the pistol and slides it towards herself. Grabbing it completely, the tentacle makes sure to yank her another few feet as she tries to check the weapon. She does not have much weapon training honestly, but right now, her lackluster aim will just have to suffice. Placing the barrel of the weapon at the tentacle's base around her leg, Marie clicks the trigger, letting off a single round. Yellow gore explodes like a jet from the tentacle itself, splattering the hall with its ichor.

The grip around her leg starts to relax, and Marie sits up to gain another shot on the creature. Aiming well, she fires another round, striking the tentacle easily. An inhumane scream could be heard throughout the hallway, and with a quick thrust, the tentacle slid down the corridor. It's vile blood still leaking on the ground as it slid, Marie watched it disappear after a few seconds. Taking a deep breath, trying to compose herself, Marie looked around to see exactly where she was. The tentacle had dragged her a good distance, but from what she was seeing, she was definitely in the surgical ward. Checking the remaining ammo on the pistol, Marie reassured herself and continued walking, hoping that the tentacle had learned its lesson.

Her comm crackling to life, the captain's voice broke the tension easily. "Marie? Are you alright? You were moving pretty fast back there."

Marie could only grunt in reply, herself nodding that she was in fact alright. Her voice was still hoarse from the incredible screaming that she had done, and she was not going to strain it further. Her eyes kept aware at all times, the weapon she had held close to her body. The discharging of the pistol meant the creatures might know exactly where she was, and that was a huge problem.

Coming to an intersection, Marie noticed the surgical wing broke off into two separate departments. To the left, the technical rooms and actual surgery wards. This would be the best place to find a RIG to setup. To the right however was the administration, where Marie knew her sister worked in.
