She not only knows what happened, she was the cause!

“So…. We’re all alone.” I say to Eve after explaining what had happened.

She doesn’t look as distraught from the news as I had expected.

“I can’t believe we’ll never see mommy or momma again… it’s just hard to imagine.” I say, knowing she will feel better if she talks about it.

“I know. It was a very high price to pay but it was the only way.” She tells me.

I nod in agreement before realizing what she just said made no sense.

“What do you mean?”

“Mommy and Momma would have killed me or at least locked me up if they had known my little secret. Plus, I couldn’t be certain how you would respond to it either.” She tells me although I have no idea what she is talking about.

“I still don’t understand.”

“Now it’s just you and me all alone on a distant planet; a new Amanda and Eve more or less.”

“There is just one problem with that analogy. Amanda and Eve were supposed to build up the human population. We can’t do that because… well, we’re sisters.”

“You don’t have a choice though because it’s either me or no one. You see, that’s the beauty of this plan.”

“Plan… you mean you sabotaged the other sleeping chambers? You killed all those people?”

“Don’t overreact! I didn’t kill them; I just made sure they would age naturally and die of old age. Anyway, even if you’re mad at me you’ll have to forgive me sooner or later since I am your new wife.”

“You’re not my wife, you’re my sister!” I yelled at her angrily.

“Alright, calm down! I guess you are a little old fashioned so maybe wife is a big first step. We’ll start with sweetheart, okay?”
