She listens to it

“Fine,” Michelle mumbled. “Play it.”

Megan grinned as she pulled out her phone and played the recording. Alexa’s voice spoke. “The truth is...I still wet the bed. It’s not every night, but it’s frequent. I usually wear diapers, but I was scared of doing so tonight. I wanted to see if I could make it and not have my most embarrassing secret exposed.”

“Wait, you still wear diapers?” Megan said. “What kind of diapers?”

“Y-youth diapers,” Alexa said. “I um found out I’m too small for adult diapers.”

Megan said. “So you would probably then fit in the same diapers as you did when you were 7, right?”

“P-probably, but I don’t want to find out. I lied to Rose because I don’t want to wear those diapers. I would be so embarrassed if anyone ever found out about this,” Alexa said.

The room was dead silent for a bit before the girls burst into fits of laughter. “Shhh. You’ll wake the baby,” Heather hissed, but failing to suppress her giggles. “Oh my, it looks like has a pattern of repetition with her wittle accidents. She’s such a baby. God, Michelle, what do you even see in her?”

Michelle frowned not sure what to think about everything. She knew Alexa’s secret from the start and it never phased her, but now knowing she blatantly lied right to her face... it hit different. She didn’t know whether to feel sad or betrayed or angry or sympathetic. “I... I don’t know,” Michelle said as she stared at Alexa, still sucking her thumb in her sleep.

Michelle reached over and gently brushed a strand of hair away from Alexa’s face. “Michelle, she lied to you,” Megan said. “Do you really want to be with someone who can’t even tell you the truth when it comes to this stuff? Imagine you’re dating each other and sleeping in the same bed with her and then she just suddenly wets the bed like the little baby she is? You can’t possibly tell me you’d be attracted to that. I mean just look at her, Michelle. She couldn’t even tell YOU the truth. She told ME the truth. It’s like she didn’t even want you to know.”

Michelle frowned and looked away. “She’s still my friend,” Michelle said.

“Is she though? When was the last time you two acted as true friends?” Megan said. “You don’t owe her anything. You haven’t been true friends since you were 7 years old. Times have changed. You don’t have to be her friend anymore. You can walk away and never look at her again.”

“What are you suggesting?” Michelle said. “I can’t just abandon her.”

“But you can move on,” Megan said, sliding in closer to Michelle. “You don’t owe her anything. And she doesn’t own anything about you.”

“Megan, I...”

“Just do it, Michelle,” Megan said. “Kiss me and forget about her.”

Michelle paused unsure of what to do. The girls watched to see how it would unfold.
