She leads you out the door and to a set of large doors.

She leads you out the door taking your hand, she smiles as you goes. The two of you get on an elevator and go down to the bottom floor, you realize to get to this floor you had walked down stairs, you wonder why you did not use the elevator. But you realize it does not have room for all the wings, so clearly you had been brought down the stairs because of that.

You are leaning over her bending over because you are unable to stand fully up, your pretty sure this elevator was not intended for people as tall as you. But you can see Lily just smiling at you the whole time. As more Gargoyle girls get on the elevator, Lily ends up pressed between your legs. More or less she is tall but she is still shadowed quite well by you, in this elevator.

The other Gargoyles take amusement in the sight of you towering over her, they know as well as any Animorph that you are a clerk or at least someone who works in the shop. Thou your sure they wonder why your so big, you notice some clicking, and lean your head lower closer to Lily's an ask " What is the clicking about?"

She smiles and says " They are just getting a little excited with your presents, that is there shoes you hear. They are tapping the heels of them, but with so many on here its hard for you to see that."

You nod and bump your head, and say " I guess that makes as much sense as anything else."

Lily then adds " They are maybe even a bit jealous, they know your with me. They can see how close you are standing, they can tell I am holding your hand even thou most of them can't see it. I guess we could say they must like you a lot, just like Mother. And just like me, that is a very good sign thou. It means you are strong of heart and will, it means none of us sense any harm or danger will come to any of us. It makes us able to relax, you Alex have given them some happiness even if you did not realize it. Mother might have told you but we have the need to protected things, and because of that we often have trouble relaxing."

You whisper into her ear " I can understand that, I mean I stand over everything now. You don't think I have the need to protected everything smaller then me?"

Lily giggles and you notice the rest of them do it as well, and Lily says " I guess that means they think your funny as well."

They all turn there head from the exit and smile at you, big smiles you could swear if they had been Raptors they would have ripped you to bits and ate you. Either way its not a horrible feeling, at the same time you can tell they wish they could press up against you like she is. The general feel you get for the most part is they still have better manners and control then most of the other Animorph races.

At the bottom floor the elevator stops, they all turn toward the exit and walk out shaking there asses a bit more then they should but not a huge issue. You think they are going to surely go off and enjoy there day for sure. Lily on the other hand brings you to a huge pair of doors that are on the bottom floor that seems to lead straight into the rock face much like there rooms and so on. She leads you through it into the filled with eggs of many colors. They all seem about twice the size of a baby normally is.

Lily smiles and says " They grow inside of the egg as one might expect and when they reach full size they are about as big as the egg more or less the egg also grows and expands a bit, we tend to help them out of it. One other interesting fact is they are born as human, they might shift well in the egg and growing but for some reason there body releases a a chemical that prevents them from shifting til they get out of the egg near the end of the growth period. The eggs also has a big black dot show up on the side of it when they have gotten to full grown for the growth period. The scientist did not engineer this, but for some reason it happens. Either way it does happen to be helpful. They tend to grow over the course of 3 or 4 months and will look at about the age of 1 or 2 when born. And they tend to need constant care for a while, a gargoyle is able to wet nurse at any time. Which is one of the other stranger facts about us. So if you would like you could have a drink in a bit if you like." You see her lick her lips.

You look at it and notice none of the eggs have a black spot on them and look around and notice there are at least four other Gargoyles or so you figure in here watching the eggs. You consider this for a moment and ask " So am I correct to figure that you don't lay the eggs as a human?"

Lily nods and says " We shift as labor starts, its easier on that body then this one. Are bodies trigger it often thou after we lay eggs the time after the laying affects are 12 hour cycles a lot of times. Making us shift at other times strangely."

You look at her and ask " So what is to prevent the offspring in the egg, being a wolf Animorph for 12 hours and a wolf with wings the other 12 hours?"

Lily laughs and says " We sometimes get some that don't shift at all, it happens what can we do about it." she says this with a smile then adds " It just means you got to keep trying." You shrug as you consider this for a moment. And smile when you realize she suggests it means you have to have lots and lots of sex.

Lily also adds " We tend to lay one to three eggs thou, so chances are one of them will be correct. If not all of them."

You then ask " If each egg is twice the size of the newborn? how does your body support three eggs for it?"

Lily nods and says " Well remember how I said with labor are bodies shift one of the reasons it messes up the 12 hour cycle is often we are stuck in are other form for a few days. The eggs are often laid up to a week apart."

You look at her a moment and say " You got into labor for a week?"

Lily just nods and says " It's not bad, the first egg if it is going to be laid grows normal. If there is to be a second it's smaller and takes a few days to catch up to the first. And if there is a third it takes a few more days still. The first egg takes about 4 days to develop then I transform and it grows a bit larger we still in me and then is laid. The second egg is about half the size of the first at this point and the other a third or so the size of the first, the first is laid and then then the second one takes about 2 days and so on, so labor can last 5 to 7 days or so."

You look kinda grim but she seems to have a smile on her face as if this is her purpose and she loves the idea of being able to do this to help you and the shop. You can't help but wonder if the name and some freedom is enough of a required for what she will have to bear to help you in this way.
