She heads straight, to the offerings

As she walks across the hallway and into the alcove on the other side she has to move carefully to not step on any of the offerings on the floor.
'What the heck sort of a place is this... burnt candles, wads of money and trinkets and... used condoms? Huh, what's on that platform it looks like... that's one ugly statue, and some booze... I think?'

Looking around the end of the little alcove she can't seem to make sense of it, all the candles and other gifts seem to be arrayed around some sort of shrine with an idol and even more offerings on it.

The wall behind the shrine is painted with a black mural. Phallic tentacles disappearing into mouths, cunts and asses. There is a section of bulbous growths, like grapes on the vine...yet in each one, Kara saw, was the ghost of a fetus, like the shadow of an ultrasound painted on the wall, bunches of them all together.

On the shrine itself there is a squat statue of light green stone, the belly about the size a human head and round as a ball, the swollen stone belly is crudely etched with a spiral below pendulous breasts, a gross deformed lump of a head that yet seems to stare back at her, hips that flared wider than the shoulders.
'What the heck sort of cult is this, is that just stone or does it contain something... huh, trying to look into it with X-rays just makes it seem like a completely black hole in the air, and yet it's not lead I think, hmm... there's an actual hole behind the shrine...'

Turning off her x-ray vision and examining the shadows behind the shrine, she realizes that there is a space between the shrine and the wall beyond.

Floating quickly over the offerings she nears the back wall and sees directly behind the idol, about three feet off the ground, there is the shadow of an opening in the wall. Getting closer can see that it's a tunnel that vanishes further in, just wide and tall enough for her to crawl into it.
'Hmm... there's a weird sulfury smell coming from it, yet there's something familiarly musky underneath it too... I wonder where it leads, could be just where some old pipes went I guess, or a smuggler tunnel, or perhaps it's an escape route. If that's what it is... then it's also a route into the heart of whatever is going on here!'

Looking around the small alcove and all it contained, Supergirl sticks her hand in her boot and picks up her phone to quickly snap some photos of the idol, the offerings, the mural and the strange hole.
'I should probably take that statue and show Zatanna, any rock that's more impossible to x-ray than lead might be magical in nature... though since I'm here, I could do a quick look in the hole and see where it goes, wherever it is it quickly gets as impenetrable as the statue.'
