Chapter 14 by TheArchitect TheArchitect

What is Jen's next action?

She goes where blindfold snaps lead her.

Jen had to contain her excitement for the moment. There still was one more step before her supposed freedom, so she went into the passage carefully, holding the wall with both of her hands.

Soon she understood that her path was slowly turning to the left, and the snaps' intervals were shortening more slowly than before.

The lower the girl was climbing, the thicker the rubbery smell was getting. When Jen stepped on the moderately warm concrete floor of this cellar, the atmosphere could already be described with nothing less than 'distracting'. As she followed the snaps in her blindfold, she passed a few large open metal containers. They were warm to the touch, and appeared to be the source of both the smell and the sound.
