She does, to find herself at a crossroads

Emerging back into the main security area, Marie felt a brief and unexpected sense of relief, though the rows of damaged workstations and mangled screens looked no more welcoming than before.

Looking around, Marie briefly considered her options. The hallway she had entered through was directly in front of her, the dim lights inside just barely visible from her position. It offered a direct route back to the elevator bank - and a path to the captain's quarters or the science decks to start her search for Jane. Marie dug out the data pad with the map that Samson had given her, and brought up the image of the ships layout. Marie zoomed in on her current location and noted two other nearby areas.

The Security Holding Cells were to her left, down a set of stairs. To her right, beyond a short hallway lay the Armory. Though Marie doubted the ship's security boasted much in the way of advanced firepower, perhaps there was something there she could add to her arsenal.
