Chapter 10

What are Jen's plans for the shop?
She chooses another dress.
Jen liked this dress, but knew there might be a richer, more majestic one. She went past a seductive mini and a knee lenght bell skirt one before seeing the one dress to marry them all.
Its hoop skirt was huge, about 10 feet in diameter and about 5 soft layers in thickness, which was going to be barely enough to move around the shop without wrecking every other exhibit. This most prominent feature of the dress was not the only one. From the waist up, the garment continued in a corset that was designed to shrink her body and create a stark contrast with the enormous skirt. A large bouquet of roses was attached to the dress' front.
After admiring the cleavage, Jen started to look for a way to enter the dress and found out that it had a straight cut in the back that separated it all the way from the edge of the skirt and to just under the neck. Apparently, all that she had to do to put on the dress was walk inside. Excited by the invitation, walk inside she did. She had to bend her knees a little to fit inside, because this dress apparently was not hanging on a hanger, but was standing on the floor instead.
The softness and warmness of the material was soothing, and the girl started to search for the sleeves with her eyes closed. Her arms rushed through the barely stretchy, but still very pleasant tubes before they found their place under her breasts in parallel sections that looked like one solid sleeve. It was the place that the bouquet was attached to, and as she was consuming the smell hungrily, there was an event that finally planted the seeds of suspicion into Jen.
There were two clicks around her wrists, and whatever wrapped itself around them prevented the girl from getting her hands out of the mono sleeve. While she was struggling, still clueless at what was happening, the dress shut itself behind her with a loud clunk.
"What's going on? I need my arms!" — Jen said, frightened by all of this. — "Let me out!"
She stood up with her legs straight and only now realized that the dress was about 50 pounds of weight. And she was now fated to bear it wherever she went.
That was not all, however. In a moment, Jen could hear something buzzing behind her. As the dress started becoming tighter because of that, she gasped out her guess:
"Oh no, the corset!"
The girl was helpless to stop her deepening intimacy with the dress. Her traitorous sleeve was surprisingly durable and she had no chance of ripping it and letting her hands free. The corset concluded its tightening with a series of metallic clunks, shutting the trap closed for good and leaving Jen with no hope of getting out on her own, as well as without an ability to take a deep breath.
"HELP ME! HEELP!" — Realizing her new predicament, the girl rushed to the exit as quickly as she could in her six inch heels and the hoop skirt that banged against the floor constantly, producing disturbing sounds. She jumped out from behind the blinds, but her lower body did not follow her. Her skirt was way too wide to go through, and metal hoops that were hiding under the white frills screeched in their twisted gloating! Much like before, Jen saw nobody in the vastness of the hall she came from. Nobody to help her. Except...
"Your groom is waiting for you. He's going to help you out, I'm sure. I bet he's a nice guy."
"Did I have a boyfriend back home? I don't even remember." — Jen played along the voice's lines to think less about the trap she was lured into. She had a strand of hair in front of her eye and could not even get it out of sight as her arms remained in their inescapable satin sheath. The girl approached the "WEDDING" button. After two whole minutes of strain, she was able to reach it with her elbow.
It was her last resort, her last hope. When Jen heard mechanisms buzzing from behind the button, she started having second thoughts.
"Maybe I should've just waited? Maybe I didn't need to press it right away?"
As she was waiting for something to happen, she still tried to struggle against her mono sleeve.
"It'll take time to get used to your new armless self. Soon you'll be envied for that."
"What... what are you talking about?"
Suddenly, a thin white circle fell down on the top of her head and secured itself on it with tiny needles. The girl felt them going very deep, but there was no pain or discomfort after the first second. Layers of bridal veil that were attached to it fell right after, getting in her line of sight for a split second, but Jen's world was never the same after this brief moment.
She found herself at a ceremony in a large castle. All of the seats in the large hall were occupied by unfamiliar people. Turning to the left, she saw a clean-shaved man in a suit who was a little shorter than her standing just two feet away. He was looking right into her eyes with a stupid smile. While the priest was talking, he whispered with a heavy British accent:
"I don't mind you wearing this dress in public more often. If white is too bright, we can use a different colour."
Jen screamed at the top of her voice: "What the fuck are you talking about, you prick! And you're my groom? You're supposed to help me out of it! Where the hell are we?"
No one seemed disturbed by that. As if no one heard. The crowd still looked at the couple with tenderness.
"I've thought that out. I have covers in different colours. The dress is time-locked for the whole honeymoon already, but the skirt can fold, you know, for the nights." — the voice in her head spoke softly.
Somehow that was what the groom heard. He smiled once more, and as the priest turned to them expecting to hear the vows, Jen screamed silently, understanding that her life was no longer in her hands.
