She checks the pods

18 walked over to the pods. Most of them were empty, and she walked past them without a second thought.

She saw a brief spot of green in the last pod, and her blood started boiling immediately. She stomped over, and her suspicions were confirmed. For whatever reason, this last pod had Cell in it. The bio-android was either asleep or ****.

18 saw red. Her subsystems screamed at her, trying to get her to see reason, but she didn't care. Not after everything that she'd been through. She clenched her fists before reaching out and ripping off the pod's door.

The absorption gems on her palms glowed, and she put one hand around Cell's throat and the other on his chest. "Let's see how you like being absorbed, you bastard!" she growled, even though the bio-android made no indication of waking up. She started draining his energy, her eyes glowing slightly as she felt her energy reserves fill themselves. From what she remembered, Cell had a lot of power, and she intended to make every ounce of it her own.

Her subsystems warned her that she was absorbing too much energy too quickly, and she ignored them. Instead, she **** her absorption to speed up. Cell's body was starting to show signs of degradation from her efforts. His frame was becoming thinner, and his skin was growing paler. 18 gritted her teeth, speeding up the absorption even more, despite her body screaming at her not to. Her body was absorbing too much energy.

By the time she finished, Cell had become little more than a husk. 18 backed away from the pod, before doubling over in pain. She clenched her fists, willing her body to cooperate with her. While she was no stranger to using her energy absorption before, this was the first time she had used it on another android.

Her eyes shot open as a sudden surge of power ripped through her body. Having absorbed all of Cell's energy with nowhere to put it, her body was reacting the only way it could: by evolving. Her once skinny arms and legs were rapidly piling on mass, and her torso was widening to make room for her burgeoning chest and back. Her clothes ripped and tore across her body, making room for her new might. She was even becoming slightly taller.

She gasped as she felt armor-like plates form on her shoulders and chest, very similar to those that Cell had had, and even though she couldn't see them forming, she could feel her face gaining black stripes on her cheeks.

When her strange transformation had completed, 18 gasped for breath before looking over herself. Somehow, absorbing Cell's power had given her this new form, and a grin grew across her face as she realized she could absorb other androids to become stronger, much like Cell himself had to. "Ironic..." she said to herself.
