She Checks In

John follows Doe to her hotel a few blocks away from the restaurant. Doe parks her car, gets out, and grabs her suitcase from the trunk.

"I'll just wait here while you check in. You can stick your head out the door and let me know everything's okay after you've checked in." John says, secretly hoping she'd invite him in. He watches as she walks into the hotel, hypnotized by the natural sway of her hips. "God, she's beautiful" he thought to himself.

Doe walks into the lobby and reemerges a few minutes later with a look of relief on her face.

"I'm all checked in. I already dropped my suitcase off in the room. Thank you so much, John...for everything." Doe says as she smiles. "You were my knight in shining armor. I don't know how I could ever repay you."

Doe gives John a peck on the cheek, and walks back into the hotel.

John just stood and stared, unsure of how to react. He wants to say something, but the words just won't come to him.

Despondent, John climbs back into his Integra, and is about to drive off when he sees Doe running towards him. She hands him a small piece of paper and says "call me around lunch-time tomorrow."

John drove away, smiling from ear to ear.
