Shauna takes it well, Jessie not so much

The two young men woke up the next morning still in each other’s arms.

“I’d love to wake up that face every day.” Patrick said with a smile, putting his finger under Billy’s chin and pulling him close for another kiss.

“I’d love a pre-breakfast fuck, but I’ve got to get to work.” Billy said

“That’s okay. We could share a shower...”

The two boys giggled, climbed out of bed and headed for the bathroom together.

“What was being with your ex like?” Patty asked as he rubbed Billy’s back with soap. “I’ve never personally met a trans person.”

“Well, he... before he transitioned he was on the football team in high school with my sister. They were best friends. I started dating him before he came out and stayed with him afterwards. I guess you could say I’m bi, but i lean towards boys.

“His entire family swore him off at first. Some have come round in the time since, but for a while there, I was his world... I was his support. He wanted to move out west so badly... and I didn’t want to. He began to think I was giving up on him as well. That I was cheating on him, which was why I didn’t want to leave....

“Oh, baby, I am so, so sorry to have brought that up.” Patty said.

“No... it’s alright. Our pasts make us who we are, and I honestly think you should know about mine...”

After finishing showering, Patty and Billy went their separate ways.

Patty found Shauna sitting at the hotel breakfast bar.

“Patty? Where were you last night? We were worried.”

“I spent the night will Billy. He’s my boyfriend now.”

Shauna flicked a little bit of her scrambled eggs.

“Patty... I’m... I’m honestly happy for you... Billy seems like he really likes you... and... So did I and so did Jessie and so did... so did a lot of the gals.

“I accept you are who you are... Jessie, well, she’s having a hard time over it. She was sure this trip would be the tipping point. Now she acts like you’ve betrayed her or something.”

“What the fuck is wrong with her?” Patty asked, sitting down. “Yeah, I’m gay, but... I still care about you all. You’re my friends.”

“I should probably tell you that Jessie didn’t believe me and... well she followed you on your date. I... I don’t know where she is. She dragged me along, I refused to stay after she started sitting there pretending to read the paper.”

“What does she think this is? An old detective tv show?”

“I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going through her head right now. All I know is I’m afraid she’s going to try something stupid.”

“I better warn Billy.” Patty said, texting him a cropped picture of Jessie.
