Setting

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away there were two superpowers at war with each other. Nearly 4000 years before the events of the movies the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire were at each others throats.

The Republic prides itself on being a beacon of democracy and equality among all spiecies. The leaders of planets and systems meet in the Galactic Senate to debate over issues like the war with the Sith and the increasing threat of secondary powers like the Hutt Cartel and pirate bands. But these days they spend most of their time debating on how to deal with the overwhelming power of the new forces in the galaxy.

On one hand the Eternal Empire of Zakuul united under Empress Vaylin, which had destroyed many armies of the Republik and Sith alike. On the other hand there is the Alliance, lead by a former Jedi master their main objective is to eliminate Vaylin and destory the Eternal Empire. Their call for soliders to help them in this fight has convinced many of the old powers own troops do desert and join the Alliance, weakening the already struggeling Republic as well as the Sith.

Usually the Republic Chancellor Saresh would just let her enemies fight it out amongst themselfes but recently the Sith allied themselfs openly with the Alliance, causing a shift in power and leading to fear in many of her citizens that the days of the Republic might soon be over if they don´t join the winning side in this confilct although it is very unclear which that would be.

Meanwhile Acina the Empress of the Sith had no such issues. She saw it as a personal responsibility of her Emipre to eliminate the threat of the Eternal Empire once and for all. The Sith Empire has alway been a meritocracy, the ones with the most power were in charge and noone with less power would dare challange them. While this could lead to an **** efficiency within the Sith it also was the cause of a lot of scheming and backstabbing which could also weaken them massively. As it did with their old emperor Valkorion, who diverted the resources of the Sith Empire as well as his own incredible power to built the Empire of Zakuul. After he had been killed by a Jedi who now leads the Alliance Valkorions daughter Vaylin succeeded her father and lead a brutal campain against both the Republic and the Sith leading to another galaxy wide war. Acina allied herself with the Commander of the Alliance to stop the destruction brought on by the hands of her former Emperor and his child once and for all.
