Linda was panicking as Adam snuck up behind her.

"What are we going to do? That ship can easily overpower ours! We wouldn't stand a..."

Quickly, Adam brings his hand down in a powerful chopping action and she falls to the floor ****.

"Sorry mom, but it's the only idea I've got that has a chance of us getting out of here alive."

Walking over to the large view screen Linda had been looking over, Adam hails the pirate ship and is soon confronted with their captain's smiling face on the screen.

"Ready to talk terms are you? I thought you might be."

From behind the Captain laughter erupted over his bridge as the other pirates contemplated the looting they'd get to do today.

"I'm ready to make a deal" Adam proposes, firmly.

The rough Captain blinks for a moment then bursts out in laughter, joining his crewmates.

"You're in no position to make deals, yer scurvy spacedog..."

Adam holds his hand up to interrupt him and give him his idea.

"The way I see it, this ship couldn't possibly hope to defeat yours, but it could do a lot of damage. I think you want to avoid that, which puts me in a slightly better position", Adam said with a smile.

The Captain looks down thoughtfully for a moment before replying.

"We want your ship and the woman we know is travelling with you. Don't pretend you don't know...we have eyes and ears everywhere. We want her...Without her, no deal."

Adam nods immediately, expecting no less from the notorious space pirates. Lifting the sleeping figure of his mother up to the view camera, he shows her to the captain.

"She's all yours, and I know you want the ship, just let me go in an escape pod. That's all I ask."
