Selinas Arc 1: The Birth of Umbra. Return of the Race of Were-Cats.
Wayne Manor hardly resembled a battlefield with Bruce out of the house. While he was in control of both forms, it was harder for the others to control their wolf form. Only Harley and Ivy had attained a degree of self-control similar to his. That was the reason why Ivy hardly left the estate. While Harley was running after one of her crazy inspirations again and Bruce was about to settle something with Dr. Langström, she was in Wayne Manor's garden. She heard loud groans from within and knew what the purified wolves were doing. But she didn't feel like it at the moment. She had so much to learn, so much to explore. It wasn't just her new name, it was a new destiny she saw before her. She felt something different beyond the real world. The umbra. While in the meantime she had acquired some knowledge and understood much better, she also knew that there was still much to learn. But what she knew was that she would have to guide Bruce. He followed a path he had been forced to follow. The fight against Dracula was an ancient war that had been transferred from their ancestors to the current generation of werewolves. However, there had been a worthy Alpha this time. Bruce had already been extraordinary as a human being and as a werewolf certain instincts had been strengthened many times over.
And yet she understood her role very well. But today it was a bit different. It was a strange feeling that had plagued her all evening. A pull. An urge. It was like something was pulling on her soul. It was nothing dangerous, she was completely sure of it. But it was something of such importance that she wanted to surrender to the feeling. And so she gave in shortly before midnight. She gave up her human form and let herself be guided by the feeling of change. The transformation into her wolf form was still extremely painful, but she had recognized the need for pain. Knowing that the pain would lead to the power she needed, it was just a passing state. Shortly thereafter the mystical werewolf stepped toward the house and with deliberate steps she walked toward the main gate. One of the younger werewolves she had recently consecrated was already waiting for her. Apparently he was in the mood to jump on the most desired wolf of the pack. But Ivy was not in the mood. She felt that she had no time to lose. Just as the love-crazed wolf was about to throw himself at her, she reared up to her full size and opened her mouth. Her body might not have been the biggest or most muscular of the pack but she was not the Alpha female for nothing!
The young wolf pulled its tail in and threw itself on its back as soon as it saw the giant wolf. The angry scream echoed through the entire estate and for a brief moment even the lustful screams had stopped. As she ran across the meadow towards the main gate, the entire pack looked out of all possible windows and followed the alpha female.
She didn't even need to see where she was running to. It was as if an invisible band was pulling her to her destination. After less than half an hour she had reached her destination. A small side street in a meaningless corner of Gotham. She looked around and sniffed around a little. She was absolutely sure she was in the right place but she didn't know exactly why she was here. Then she saw it.
A small stray cat that lurked anxiously on a ladder. Without thinking much about it, Aloe Vera raised her claws and drew some symbols in the air. It reminded a little of Tai Chi and when she had finished the gentle, calm movements one could see a shimmering gate. It was impossible to see through, but the cat braced curiously towards the shimmering field. Without the slightest fear, the cat entered the field just to come out a few seconds later on the other side. Aloe looked at the cat and sniffed curiously only to catch an angry paw on her nose. Howling at the howling pain, she yelled at the cat, who hurriedly ran away. She looked after the cat until she got bored. The feeling she had had and that had led her to this place had disappeared with the cat. However, she had a new feeling.
She looked up at the dark night sky and nodded slowly. This war would end. In one way or another. Because the war had gone much too long. It was time that it was over. And the Umbra had decided that it was time. Ivy didn't understand everything but she felt that the endgame had started. But this realization brought her back to the here and now. She had to prepare the pack for it. Her instinct told her Dracula and Bruce would soon collide. It was just three weeks until the next full moon. In these three nights the power of the pack would multiply. Due to the Kryptonian advertising they had found many in the city but not all. And Dracula knew that too. He would certainly not let Bruce wander through the city at the top of his power.
Meanwhile, at the other end of town.
Selina had one of her days again. She stood on a roof and looked at the fire ring burning in the water. She had explored every corner of this wretched prison and found no way out. The fact that these terrible monsters pulled through the city disturbed her less than the fact that it was no fun to steal anything if you could not do anything with it. Actually it was a perfect experience. No police, no Batman and some of the big bosses death or disappearance. But it also took all the fun out of it. She had seen the news saying that Batman was responsible for the whole thing but she didn't believe it. She knew her grim little bat too well for that.
Bored, she took a seat on a ledge and looked at the museum and let herself fall bored on her back. At least the sky still looked familiar. What action she wouldn't give for a little. The thrill of adventure. The thrill of danger. While she was still lying there she suddenly felt a small load jumping on her tits. She looked down and saw a cat sitting on her chest. It was a pitch black cat with emerald green eyes. The cheeky cat just sat on her breasts and looked down at her as his front paws pressed her breasts to find the perfect sleeping position. Selina watched amused as the cat lay on her and his green eyes looked at her. He wore a collar with a silver pendant. But when Selina wanted to grab it to look at it, the tomcat bit it. Selina hastily pulled her hand back and jumped up. The cat also jumped down from her in surprise and elegantly landed on the ledge, where he sat down and looked at Selina. She was on her legs and looked at her right hand where she saw 2 small traces of blood.
"Cheeky little guy mh? First kneaded my tits and then want to bite mh? At least you have Courage." she laughed and moved slowly on the hangover to which could be stroked now simply. "Already understood. YOU decide who may stroke you. And now show me your name."
Now the cat let himself fall on the side and while Selina crawled his belly she looked at the collar. In greenish color was written on it.
Umbra.
"A beautiful name. Quite unusually Little one. But now good. Come. I'll take you home with me and you'll get a treat." She said and lifted him up. Umbra now lay gently humming in her arms and visibly enjoyed being carried through the night by his new can opener.
When they had arrived in their small apartment Umbra jumped on her bed and looked at his new realm extensively while Selina unconsciously rubbed her injured hand again and again. She hadn't even noticed that the wound had already closed again. She took off her skintight latex suit and slipped into something more comfortable. But she felt her warm. She became dizzy as she sat down on the bed. She quickly picked up a thermometer and measured her temperature. She was clearly elevated and probably had a fever. She took an aspirin and an antibiotic pill and went to bed. Surely she had stayed outside only too long and had caught something.
As she fell asleep Umbra jumped from her bed and looked around the house. Curious as every cat was, Umbra looked into every corner. Then he jumped back into the bedroom and stretched out. Slowly his body began to grow. His claws continued to grow as his figure began to become stronger and more muscular. The cracking of bones was clearly audible, but Selina's sleep was too deep to wake up. It was his first transformation into his true form. He got himself up growling and stretched out. But he was completely controlled and quiet. He hardly fitted into the room and looked at his claws. It was confusing for him now to stand on two legs. He tensed his muscles and stretched carefully to get a feeling for his body. His black fur was still the same colour as his cat. His eyes could see perfectly in the darkness and as his gaze fell on the sleeping Selina he realized why he was here.
She would see to it that this miserable war would finally end. The balance had been damaged for too long. The frontier between the umbra and the real physical world had become much too thin over the millennia. The Umbra itself had chosen him to ensure that the vampires and werewolves would finally make a pact. An infinite time ago, there had been werewolves as well as werecats. In the Land of the Sand Seas, the werewolves and the werecats guarded humans side by side. While the werewolves were wild and feared warriors, there were many wise diplomats among the werecats.
Even if Umbra in his who-figure seemed rather dainty compared to a werewolf, he still outdid a human by a lot. His body was less muscle-bound but more athletic and reminded more of a statue of Greek gods. His thick fur shimmered in the dull lighting and his eyes glowed greenish.
Selina was the key as she had a close connection to the Wolf King and an even closer connection to Dracula. However, she was not yet aware of this connection. It was also time to recreate the race of the Werkatzen. He would need them for that as well. At least for the beginning. She would become the mother of the first Werkatzen. From then on the Werkatzen would be able to reproduce without Selina.
And Selina would play her role. Umbra would take care of that. For this he had been given special powers which he would only use on Selina.
