See your Daughter

The doctor gestures the two of you to follow “Right this way please”

She leads you down a corridor and to Courtney’s room, where you find her lying on the bed, hooked up to a heart rate monitor.

“Mommy!” She yells with excitement. You hang back a little as Doe rushes in to hug your daughter and Courtney whispers in her ear “does he know?” and Doe replies with tears of joy welling up in her eyes

“Yes, yes baby, he does and he’s very happy”

You begin to approach the bed when Courtney looks up at you with a jovial smile and says

“Daddy, come hug me and Mommy!” Your heart skips a beat and tears of joys start appearing in your eyes when you hear your daughter call you daddy for the first name. You quickly embrace both them and you know already, that this is the greatest moment of your life.
