After exchanging a pass phrase with the Telegram agent, you were granted permission to access a revealing file, marking details of your agent's history. While you'd expected an impersonal, unvarnished format, it was hard not to read into it and understand some of the excitement of the person writing it... they were probably a little giddy at getting a look behind the scenes at such a mysterious and decorated agent. You didn't know who this Telegram agent was- they never included a signature or a photograph- but you thought they should use a little professionalism, when handling a serious document like this. {if Au Revoir's Hidden Past> 1999}

You may know that Au Revoir was once part of the arms dealers / terrorist cell known as Adder. What you probably didn't know: Au Revoir didn't leave Adder at Vaarvel's offer just because it sounded fun. We don't know all the details, but Au Revoir had previously been used by Adder for some sort of experiment. At the bare minimum, it involved biological enhancement. I'm talking about that mad-science stuff that people use to modify their bodies. In her case, it's related to that insane strength and reflex acuity of hers. A lot of that is exercise and training, but you probably imagined some of it might be steroids. Not quite; it was the result of clandestine experiments by Adder.

Imagine if they'd made more super soldiers like Au Revoir... Kind of makes you wonder why they didn't, huh? I guess the fact that Au Revoir defected is either hugely bad luck on their part or speaks to the rigor of the experiments, possibly something so intense that she holds it against the organization. Either way, I wasn't able to dig up exactly what they did or why she defected.
