Second fighter wave

As Calvo considered his options, the air was filled with a low buzz. The guards following him heard it just as soon as he did and hit the deck.

Overhead, a second wave of fighter drones shot over, heading for the prison. It was either a second wave of fighter drones, or the first wave was making a second run! This time, though, they seemed to be escorting a couple of larger drones as well. Was it a rescue camp? Was Calvo actually moving away from freedom by moving away from the prison camp? Or should he keep on moving up the mountain, using the distraction of the fighters to gain even more distance between him and the pursuing guards?
