Savannah, 19

Savannah turned her head and looked at the clock on her bedside table.

The blinking lights on the clock face said, 11:53.

Damn. Only midnight, and she'd already concluded she wasn't going to sleep tonight.

It was early June, and already the nights were hot and getting hotter. Tonight, it was too hot to sleep.

Savannah lay staring at the ceiling, trying to sleep, for five minutes before deciding she was just wasting her time trying.

Savannah slid out of bed and stood on the carpeted floor. She took a robe out of the closet and put it on over her silky baby-doll nightie. She tied the cord around her waist, then put a pack of cigarettes and a box of matches in one pocket and her room and house keys in the other.

Locking her room door behind her, Savannah went downstairs.

The Theta Tau house was mostly empty this month, as the majority of the girls who stayed there had gone home for summer break. Savannah had stayed, along with several other girls. Savannah had no reason to go home. Her parents, who, throughout her life, seemed to have barely noticed that they had a daughter, were on a trip around the world. Since there was no point going home, Savannah had stayed at school and enrolled in several summer-school courses. She hoped the tuition bills would make her parents notice her. Until then, she could take a few classes she needed to take anyway.

Savannah saw no one as she walked down to the ground floor. The lounge and kitchen were empty and dark, and all the doors to the girl's rooms were closed and mostly locked.

Not pausing, Savannah opened the back door and went out into the back yard. The Theta Tau house was on the edge of the campus, with a flat lawn behind it and in front of it. Across the street was a parking lot, nearly empty now that so few students were attending summer classes.

Savannah walked across the back yard and onto a trail that led through thick woods to a large pond.

Once she was at the edge of the pond, Savannah looked around to make sure she was alone. She saw no one, and, satisfied that she was alone, she took off her robe, then her nightie, exposing her gorgeous body. Savannah was 5'3" or so, and had a curvy body, with a high, tight butt, and proud round breasts, that, combined with her long white-blonde hair, delft-blue eyes, thick eyelashes, and full red lips, made her one of the most beautiful and popular girls on campus.

Savannah left her clothes where they fell and walked into the water. She started swimming with powerful strokes.

Savannah had no idea how long she swam. She was in no hurry to stop, however. The water felt wonderful on her naked body, and it was cooling her down.

Finally, however, Savannah swam back to the beach. She walked out of the pond.
