SOL Day 10 - Pass

You're supposed to be a defender... so you put your ego aside and make the pass. Sam bounces it to Riley, who attacks beautifully... but is stopped by Meghan, who is a strong, fearless bully. In the encounter, the ball pops up. Riley, just knocked down, rolls to her feet and just SLAMS the other girl out of the way, but there's no whistle... she takes ball on her chest, then just whips around and does a picture-perfect bicycle kick that leaves Green Team's goalkeeper wondering what just happened.

Pink Team wins the game. The field erupts with way more noise than you would expect from a game with no actual audience, but all the FUTA people are going nuts, the producers, even the coaches. Pink Team is picking Riley up and carrying her around.

So Riley's doing an interview while you're going with the rest of the girls to the showers. Pretty soon you're on a bus and heading for the Lodge. The level of excitement in the bus is really high, and that's kind of nice. It's a lot of positive energy. The girls are totally focused on Riley, but she's the one who scored... nobody cares about the pass. And you wouldn't either if you were one of them. You wouldn't even have noticed whoever did that...

You look out the window and watch the trees go by. It's hard to feel any resentment. At least you aren't in prison, and the Lodge... the Lodge will give you a little real privacy. Real privacy. Wow... that will be nice.

You arrive there, and find yourself rooming with a girl you don't know. Her name is Sheva, and she's apparently from Africa, but has a British accent. She's not very tall, but she has a tight, athletic body, and she's pretty as hell. She's kind of... brusque. She's nice, but unlike a lot of girls, she isn't nervous or shy around you. She puts her things down, then leaves you alone in the room. You sit on your bed and remember your prison cell.

This is a lot better. And this whole weekend there will be... nothing. You will decide when you wake up, when you eat, what you do... it's amazing. You can't believe you used to take that for granted.

Riona's team won their game, and she's at the Lodge, but at dinner you see her sitting with those two girls that originally came with the Russian coach: Lena and Olga. Riona's... avoiding eye contact with you. That means she has plans for the night. And your roommate, Sheva... she's sitting with that cute, Indian girl. Riley's next to Lara, who is sitting annoying close, and they're just surrounded by girls.

You eat quietly while a girl named Sam gushes about how great Riley is. You tell her that you agree.

No one has the energy to do anything. It's been an exhausting, emotionally draining day. After dinner, most of the girls just take their phones into the main room and lie around on the couches while a movie plays. You do as well, texting a few friends in Spain and trying not to stare at Riley, who's sitting next to Lara. Lara's thirstiness is obvious, but Riley's harder to read... it's difficult to tell where those two are at.
