Chapter 5

Who's the customer Teddie's talking about?
Ryotaro Dojima and Junes' favorite customer, Nana-chan!
When Teddie told the bear-suited Naoto to interact with the customers, he'd only seen the somewhat scary, five-o-clock shadow of Inaba's resident hard-boiled detective, Ryotaro Dojima. As much as the team owed to the guy, for providing Yu a home most of all, Teddie couldn't shake the feeling that the guy's gruff demeanor and general tough guy machismo was a bad match for his unique brand of humor.
The look on his face right now was straight of a crime flick, with deep bags beneath his eyes and a stoic frown, even off-duty on a weekend. Naoto couldn't help but think the way he walked with his jacket held over his shoulders and a cigarette in his mouth was pretty cool... if she looked like the Sherlock Holmes type of detective, he resembled the black-and-white, western noir type. Still, she understood why he looked so haggard; the case wasn't over yet and as hard as it was for all of them, investigating it was even harder for Dojima. His sense of helplessness must be great and burdensome, with him unable to use anything but the sparse clues in the natural world. The "TV world" wasn't a place Dojima could investigate.
Just as she was going to greet him, feeling like she'd have to figure out a fake voice just to preserve her own dignity around this officer she respected, she spotted a second figure. It wasn't the shoulder-slumping Adachi or her good friend Yu Narukami (thank goodness), but instead, the petite, tiny form of the little town of Inaba's ray of sunshine, Nanako. In contrast to Dojima's steely, gloomy walk, she was skipping along happily, humming her favorite song: the Junes jingle. Yosuke's family couldn't pay for better advertisement than her.
Seeing her emerge from behind one of the tables, Teddie gasped deeply and placed both hands on his face. He'd never meant to pass up a chance to speak to his favorite customer! Still, he'd made his bed and now he must hibernate in it: Naoto would score this one.
Heedless of Teddie, Naoto waddled forward to greet the two. She cleared her throat... then did her best imitation of Teddie's voice. It wasn't very good. Naoto had a lot of admirable skills, but pretending to be a cheerful alien bear wasn't one of them. "Grrrr-eetings, shoppers! Welcome to Junes!" she began, dragging out the "R" and feeling rrrrrri-diculous.
Nanako stared at her face wide-eyed, then smiled sympathetically. For just a moment, Naoto thought that the girl understood what she was going through... but the little girl's skills weren't that keen yet. "Your voice sounds a little scratchy today, Teddie," she pointed out, tilting her head and bobbing her cute miniature pigtails.
"I-It's all this humidity... hu-humiteddy..." Naoto corrected herself. She tried to question if Teddie was the type to ever comment on the humidity and, furthermore, if her bear joke game was on point... The answer to both questions seemed to be a resounding "no," but Nanako didn't look bothered.
Dojima laughed, patting his daughter's head and doing his best to put on good humor in front of the silly cartoon character. It was the job of adults to rise to the occasion in that way. "We all appreciate the hard work, but if you're sick, you should head home. Don't overdo it," he advised.
Under the suit, Naoto frowned; Dojima was the last guy who got to call anybody else a workaholic. "Thanks... Pops," she spoke awkwardly, trying hard to remember Teddie's nickname for the older gentleman. The words felt dreadfully disrespectful passing through her lips, even more so because she was supposed to have a professional, working relationship with the man as a fellow detective.
Nanako smiled expectantly for a bit, then finally, grabbed the paws of Naoto's suit tightly. "Aren't you gonna say it?"
"Hm? Am I supposed to say something?" Naoto asked bluntly, staring down through the unblinking eyes of the Teddie suit. She wasn't tall by any means, but it was still impossible to see Nanako clearly due to their height difference and her inability to bend her knees in the stiff costume.
The small girl drew in a deep breath, clenched her fists at her chest, then began to do a little dance. "Every day's great at your Junes~!"
Naoto felt her face getting red with embarrassment beneath the suit... Dojima had surely come to understand by now that one of Yu's female friends was under the suit, not the usual boy. He was making that skeptical face he made whenever Yu tried to explain the odd things that they did as part of the Investigation Team. Still, she had to keep up the ruse. "E-Every day's great at your Junes..." she sung with a marked lack of enthusiasm.
Off to one side, Teddie marveled at the rare chance to hear Naoto Shirogane's singing voice. Even when the whole group did karaoke together, she usually excluded herself!
"Ha ha, nooo! You've gotta do it happier than that!" Nanako encouraged her friend's stand-in, now grabbing the bear paws more tightly. To Naoto's terror, Nanako began spinning in a circle around her. "Every day's great... at your... Junes! Try it!"
"Every day's... great...!" Naoto struggled, beginning to feel dizzy and knowing in her heart that the momentum was going to cause her to fall over. Despite the lyrics of the song, she was beginning to feel that every day was decidedly not great at this particular Junes...!
Will Naoto-Teddie survive the spin?

I think we can all agree that there are some amazing females in Persona, right? Everyone has their favorites, as well as their least favorites. Maybe you like them for their badassness or simply from appearance and voice. Maybe you like them because they have good lewds. Either way, why don't we have some fun and imagine them in some sexy ENF scenarios? What could go wrong? Oh, and don't be surprised to see a massive amount of spoilers. You have been warned.
