Running from the Wild Hunt.

She did not know how she had managed to escape, only that she had.

Ciri ran. The forest was thick, the morning dew coated each leaf with a thick damp layer of water that soaked through her clothes as she ran. She could hear them behind her, the Wild Hunt. She could hear the beating of horse hooves, the sound of their armor as they ran, the commands of their officers. They were gaining on her.

She would not be able to out run them. She could not hide. Not like this.

She closed her eyes and concentrated. She thought back to her training. She was a child of the Elder blood, magic ran through her veins. She didn't need to run, or hide. She could go anywhere she pleased.

A dull hum filled her ears, she could go anywhere she pleased. She felt it, embraced it and with a crackle of energy she vanished.
