Sue slipped invisibly through the jungle, wondering why she had made Kraven such an insane offer. What had gotten into her? "The flowers," she thought. The scent was obviously some kind of aphrodisiac. The flowers had gotten into her.

But now she had to think. She knew Kraven regularly took on superpowered "prey," and she had no doubt of his ability to track and run her down. If he could get close enough, she couldn't count on her invisibility saving her. She slowed, took stock of her surroundings. The trees ahead of her were densely packed. If she could climb one, she could probably keep moving off the ground through the branches for a reasonable distance. A good-sized stream ran to her left, and to her right an ancient, cracked stone road ran uphill. Either one would obscure her tracks. Kraven was good, he would know she made one of those choices, but he would have to guess which one. It would give her a chance.
