Run for it

Before you can change your mind you've thrown open the door and dash down the hallway. Following your instinct to get as far away from Dr Lybeck and her experiments as you can. You dart through the corridors, changing direction when your instincts tell you, but knowing you've got no idea where to run. The many doors flying by as you race through the building, each looking just like the last, the only difference is the numbers on them. Soon you begin slowing only to hear voices coming your direction from the intersection ahead. You duck into one of the random rooms leaving the lights off and making sure to crouch out of sight of the observation window. The voices in the hallway continue on past. You breathe a sigh of relief but then you hear her.

"H- Hello?" A timid high pitched voice calls out from behind you. You turn, and though it's dark you can just make out the scene. It's quite similar to the room you left. Stainless steel counter tops hold beakers and microscopes. A few computer screens sit idle. A curtain divides the room, and behind it you hear her voice again.

"Is anyone there?" A sense of fear tinges her voice. "Please?"
