Run for it.

Looking at the fat disgusting creature you can't help but just know that trying to fight the creature is certain ****. Running through the mall naked is also horrifying, but the fear of being eaten wins and you climb to your feet and run toward the front door. The reactions of the people you race pass is a varied mix of shock and laughter. “Stop her.” You hear a booming voice call out from behind you and you see a fat man in a mall cop uniform come out of the store you were just in wearing the face of the terrible demon.

Racing though the mall you are at least certain where the elevator is, the only store in the mall with two stories is the huge sporting goods store. As if it wasn't all bad enough you are treated to the lovely sound of gunfire as a kiosk beside you explodes sending paper shrapnel flying as the supposed mall cop behind you takes aim while running and sends a couple of bullets in your direction. This causes a dozen or more screams from the onlookers and seconds later you aren't the only one running. It also quickly becomes apparent that while you are running quite impressively in 6” heels, it is far from ideal, and if you thought you could quickly kick them off you would be wise to do so, sadly you don't want to give up any of your lead by stopping, even if only for a moment.

“You can't run forever. I can follow you forever I know where you are.” The beast calls from behind you and you can tell by the voice it is closer. The sporting goods store comes into view and you summon up the energy to pick up the pace. The instant you enter the store you find yourself face to face with a woman with two kids in tow and have to dodge to the side, your slick heels don't like this sudden motion and you collide with a display sending sunglasses flying. This gets an angry shout from someone that clearly works here, and as you scramble to get back to your feet you notice your right hand is empty, the gun no where to be seen. Back in motion you go ahead and grab a hand full of pink shirts off of a table, hoping one will fit, but not taking any kind of time to see what you have. The elevator comes into view as you run past the exercise equipment and as it does the key begins to glow in your hand.

Pounding the button to call the little elevator you can't help but say out loud, “This is crazy.” You are sure you can hear the grunting breathing of the creature after you as the doors slide open. In a flash you are inside and pounding the button to close the door. The only floor buttons are of course first and second floors so you slap the second. Right there in the middle of the buttons is a keyhole. Pushing in the key and turning it causes the elevator to shudder and the number seventeen appears on the wall. “No way.” You say with a gasp, but the elevator dings the arrival of the second floor, then sure enough the elevator keeps moving till you are sure you should have burst though the roof. Moments later the little light dings the arrival of floor 17. “This can't be real can it?” You ask no one in particular as you step into the hallway of what you are sure is an apartment complex. Walking down the hall to the left you see a second key on the ring begin to softly glow. Sure enough as you look closely on the key the number 1708 appears on it. A few steps later and you are standing in front of apartment 1708.
