Ruby's grades have been slipping

"Do you know why you are here miss Rose?" Glynda asked the sitting girl who had been told to stay after class

"Because I'm awesome?" Ruby asked rhetorically, the fear in her voice evident

"No miss Rose, you were here for a very long list of reasons, the most pressing being your failing grades"

It was true with all that White Fang stuff going on lately Ruby had less time for studying which made her already poor grades change to failing ones.

"I can explain"

"Yes yes I'm sure you can but that won't change the fact your grades are failing. Do you have any plan at all to deal with this?"

"I...I'll just have to work hard!" Ruby responded with determination

"With two weeks left in the semester?"

Ruby's determination was gone. With so little time left she couldn't think of a way to make her grades recover.
