Round 1: Level 2 Upgrades

The Hylax bug is gestating in its fourth human host, select a tier 2 upgrade from each category to help it along in its consecutive infestations:

Tier 2 Physical Upgrades:

Second tail: Causes the Hylax to develop a second tail.

Glue spit: The hylax’s can now project a powerful adhesive.

Bigger legs: Hylax legs are now bigger, enabling them to make bigger jumps.

Tier 2 Host Symptoms:

Fear : Eggs now make host slightly paranoid of other humans and cause the host to become reclusive.

Maternal Instinct: Eggs now produce even stronger doses of Oxytocin, causing the mother to become protective of the hylax young she is carrying.

Nursing: The larvae produce mass quantities of estrogen/growth hormone, causing the hosts breasts to visibly swell and produce large quantities of milk. The larvae regularly exit the womb to feed on its mother’s milk before returning to grow.

Tier 2 Infectivity Upgrades:

Double breeding: The hylax bug now can breed twice before it expires

Live larvae: The Hylax young are already in the larval state when implanted in the host, reducing gestation time (and speeding up any hormonal effects)

Multiple orifice infestation: Allows the Hylax to implant its young anywhere they will fit.

Paradigm Shift - Improved Synergy:

From this point on, the Hylax have been nurtured in enough human bodies to refine their cocktail of hormones and chemicals. The humans exposed to it during implantation and birthing will no longer suffer wildly different results but one out of three. They will either lose consciousness, become horny or lose any desire to fight back.

Absorb host ability:

Since Janet is a person with superhuman ability’s, the Hylax can take one of her abilities for their own. This new trait will be passed on to all their descendants.
Though Janet already birthed a nest of Hylax that adopted an ability from her, the Hylax that bred her a second time did not possess any.

Wings: The Hylax grow four wings and gain the ability of flight.

Zap: The Hylax start producing bio-electricity and can shoot low intensity electric bolts from their tail.

Shrink: They Hylax absorb some of the Pym particles Janet’s body has bonded with and learn how to shrink on command.
