Azia sees this and turns to Rose with a worried expression. She grabs her hands and grasps them together, rubbing her knuckles. Rose looks up and stares into Azia’s eyes once more.

“Everything is going to be fine. As long as we can get to my room, we’ll be safe,” Azia says, reassuring Rose.

Rose gives Azia a small smile in response, unsure of what Azia really means, but safety in Azia’s room is something she’ll take any day.

And so, Azia and Rose get up from off the ground. Rose keeps her privates covered while Azia forgoes her modesty. Azia leads the way inside through the shed connected to the house.
