… he stiffened. He stared mesmerised into the diamond eye as he felt the magic draining his soul and his limbs hardening. In a moment Gord’s body was lifeless stone.
The slavegirl kneeling on the pedestal breathed in a gasp of shock, breasts rising prettily. Gord knelt in shock. Stared at his petrified body before him as it teetered and fell, shattering into a pile of rubble. “A trap?” The thief gasped in a dulcet voice. She could not rise. Something held her there. Kneeling. In place. Like a ****. She was chained!
