Rocketgirl recovers, and turns the tables on Hannah and Nicole

One of the side effects of Rocketgirl’s abilities was that her metabolism was sped up. That meant that things were absorbed by her quicker, but also passed through her quicker. As a result the chloroform was already loosening its grip on the young heroine. Rocketgirl stirred as she felt Hannah and Nicole dragging her body down a hallway.

“Huh.” Hannah said looking back at Rocketgirl.

Before she could do anything else Rocketgirl pulled her arms free and pushed both Hannah and Nicole away. “Now that I know the two of you are responsible, I’m going to make sure that you face jail time.” Rocketgirl said. Running faster than a blur Rocketgirl sped into the living room before running back towards the two women who barely had time to move.

“Whats going on here?” Hannah stammered as she felt herself being pulled backwards and her back being pressed against her mother’s. “Why can’t I move?” Hannah struggled but her arms and legs would not move. She was stuck standing back to back with her mother Nicole. Looking at herself Hannah saw several electrical cords wrapped around her body. The cords were tight holding the two women together and pinning their arms and legs so they couldn’t move.

Moments later Rocketgirl walked more calmly up to the bound mother and daughter criminal team. She then placed a note on them, the note explained who they were, what they were doing, and told where the stolen materials were in the house. Rocketgirl smiled at them and said. “The police will be here soon. I’ve made sure to tell them you are here and that the chemicals and equipment are as well. You’ll have difficulty explaining this.” Then at the sound of approaching police sirens, Rocketgirl sped out of the house.

Before returning to her dorm room, she stripped out of her Rocketgirl costume and put on some normal clothes. Melissa then put her superheroine costume in her bag. When she entered her room, she noticed it was dark and that her roommate Lindsey was also asleep. Looking at the clock, Melissa saw how late it was. Throwing her bag down, Melissa wrote Lindsey a note saying not to wake her, that she was going to sleep in tomorrow. She then undressed, put on a sleep shirt, and climbed into bed.

The next morning Melissa woke up around 9:45am. Jumping lazily out of bed she noticed that her roommate Lindsey had gone to class. She also saw that Lindsey had left her a note. Melissa read the note, it said that Lindsey’s mom was going to stop by, and if she arrived before Lindsey returned asked Melissa to let her in. Melissa was about to sit down and have a breakfast bar when there was a knock at the door.

Is it Lindsey’s mom, or is it someone else? It could be the dorm resident assistant, a reporter who thinks there is a connection between Melissa and Rocketgirl, Miss Nevill an old woman Melissa helped several days ago, or someone different.
