Ride Along

Elizabeth wakes up to bluegrass music blaring. Her vision blurry, she can just make out that she is on the passenger side of a pickup truck, being driven by Adam, who is singing along with the music. It became abundantly clear that Adam has kidnapped Elizabeth. Thrilled and terrified, Elizabeth remembered her practice.

"Hey, look whose up. Rise and shine!"

"Y-You could've asked me to come with you."

"Where's the fun in that? Adam slams on the brakes making the truck screech to a stop. "WHERE?" Adam shouted, angrily. This made Elizabeth jump, truly terrified for her life.

Adams mood changes back to oddly cheerful as he started driving again. "Haha. Sorry if I scared you. See, it's good to get the heart racing every now and then, to get that rush of blood thundering in your ears. Oh, Liz, we are gonna have a great time together."

As Elizabeth looks out at the country road, she finds being with Adam fascinating and horrifying. What will he do to her, what might he do? The thought made her both sick and jittery with anticipation. Finally, this chance encounter has become her dream and nightmare.
