Research First

The Hive gave the queen education and knowledge, but only in the barest forms. Goals, it's minions, it's current resources, and more..., Hive based info; but it needed more tutoring. The Hive and the Empress lacked understanding of this place and how it operated or worked. Just enough to know HOW to work it but not enough to actually upkeep it. For all the Empress knew, the device could imploded tomorrow. Even the human Pawns assigned to it were unsure how to work or repair it beyond what the Empress knew. The Hive desperately needed an expert in this field, or a brilliant genius to unlock the ruin's secrets. Also being just a tad..., mad, might help said mind withstand everything it would find here.

Using the main console in the middle of the formation, the Empress filled its mind with this desire; brilliant, intelligent, inquisitive, and perhaps a little bit unhinged. Pouring this picture into the main panel, e surge of light and energy runs through the floor and into the archways, causing a flicker of light to appear in them. The Empress are rather sure that for now, fully opening a portal would take most the energy of the ruins, and to possibly a single location only.

Each archway fills the Empress' mind with images of what lurked beyond as it draw near one, giving insights of to what one might find. By focusing on the desire for knowledge and research, the Emrpess started to filter away the chaff and noise, narrowing down it's search to what it currently desired.

The Hive's goal had taken a step foward, and the Empress began it's quest. The only question was where to start looking.
