Reptile Boy

"What's going on?" Willow asked.

"With what?" Buffy replied.

"With everything. I thought it was supposed to be all of us hanging out, then Xander canceled, so yay, girl's night. But then Amy canceled. I thought they were going on a date, but I just talked to Xander at his house. He's studying. He's studying instead of being here watching movies. What's up?"

Buffy held back her answer as she watched the TV. Being around Amy had been awkward. Being around Xander was awkward. The only time there wasn't any awkwardness was when they were all around each other together.

"I don't know," Buffy admitted.

"And Angel..."

"I love Angel," Buffy said too quickly. "I mean, yes, I love Angel. It's just...things."

"You and Amy need to clear this up. Make it clear that you aren't interested in Xander."

It wasn't true she wasn't interested in Xander, it also wasn't true that was the issue between her and Amy. But Willow couldn't know any of that. "Yeah, sure."

"Hey, Rich, Tom," Cordelia said she came over to the car. "Party this Friday?"

"It is invite only," Tom said as he looked out the window. "Who's that girl?"

"Buffy?" Cordelia said. "I hate her guts."

"I like her," Rich said.

"I mean, she's practically a sister."

"She's not the one I meant," Tom said as he pointed behind the group.

"Amy?" Cordelia said surprised.

"Yeah, do you think you could get the two of them?"

Cordelia glared back, "I thought this was invite only."

"It's going to be boring if it's all just a bunch of trust fund kids. Come on Rich, I don't think she..."

"Wait," Cordelia said. "I'll talk to them. They'll love to be there."
