Repeated salon journies

"Carol! Lexi!" The main woman at the front desk said, smiling at her frequent customer and her daughter. Carol smiled back at the green haired woman, speaking up for the two.

"We're just looking to get a bit of work done. She has a big date tomorrow." Carol said, smiling at Alexa with a proud beam.

The hairdresser Alexa had prior appeared from the back, recognizing her former charge immediately, and heading to meet her. She coo'd over Alexa's hair, admiring the curliness with the pride of an artist. She pulled Alexa away from Carol, attracting her attention.

"What will we be doing today?" She asked, with Alexa following dutifully behind.

"Well, uh, hmm.." Alexa said, following her to the back and sitting in the salon chair.

Carol let her Alexa be pulled along with no stoppage, merely giving her a smile as she watched the girls skirt swish along. Sitting in the chair, her usual attendant asked her a familiar question - "What will we be doing today?"

Carol and Alexa both pondered over the question...
