Relief

You try to sit up, but your body feels too heavy. Instead you manage to speak to Angel. "You're awake?!" she exclaims, smiling despite the tears in her eyes. Her make up was terribly smeared from all the tears. "You're alright...oh thank god," she whispers, practically collapsing into the chair by your bed.

Your throat is dry, but you manage to ask her what happened. She let out a weak laugh. "Fuck if I know," she replied. "It was insane...the...the mansion sealing up, the monsters, you going all warrior hero on them..." She laughs again, shaking her head. You don't blame her for her disbelief. Honestly, you had been questioning it yourself, a fact you convey to her.

"Great...so maybe we're both crazy," she replies. "How did you DO that? You killed that thing with...with a ghost or something..." She searches your face, hoping you have some form of explanation. You do...but even now you doubt its validity. You explain about Personas...to the best of your limited knowledge of them. "So...it's a part of you? Can you bring it out now?" she asks, looking a bit doubtful.

You try, but don't get so much as a spark. With a sheepish smile, you say that you can't. "Great," Angel mutters. "Anyway...after you killed it, you fainted or something. I had to drag you back home. You're heavier than you look." You give her a sarcastic thank you for the "compliment". Then you recall that the doors wouldn't open before.

"With that thing dead, it opened just fine," Angel replies, shrugging. "Anyway...you saved my life..."
