Reincarnation

"I choose reincarnation," she replied.

"Very well, then. Once you leave this godforsaken portal, you might sense some new changes." Marukka told her.

Oddball, having finally been able to revert himself back to normal, looked at Hannah in the eye and said, "I guess I have conquered my inner demons, after all."

He smiled, as did she, before she would finally leave Hell for good.

Two weeks later...

Though Hannah could not go to Daytona Beach for Spring Break, she at least had the courage to tell David that they were better off as friends, to his dismay. When she finished up her morning routine one day, she headed off for college.

Some time later, she would find herself on the campus grounds before she heard a voice call out to her.

"Hannah! Hannah, over here!"

Following where the voice had come from, she eventually found the person in question. She smiled as she began to fully recognize him with his parted red hair, blue eyes, and a pair of glasses.

"Hey, don't you remember me? I'm Timmy Michaels; you know, your old friend from kindergarten." Timmy asked.

Hannah blinked in surprise before she smiled and hugged him. "Timmy! It's so good to see you again!" she exclaimed.

"Me too. It had been a very long while since we last saw each other," he said.

"In fact, what have you been doing before you got into UCLA like I have?" Hannah asked.

Timmy let go before he replied, "Oh, it's a long story, Hannah. Do you want to talk about what we've done as we got older during lunch? I'm dying to know what you've got cooking for your future, too."

"Of course!" Hannah replied, her smile growing brighter by the second.

They both interlocked hands and shared a deep, almost romantic gaze towards each other before college could finally begin. As many fairy tales would put it, they lived happily ever after.
