"Very well, then. Once you leave this godforsaken portal, you might sense some new changes." Marukka told her.

Violet looked over at Hannah and smiled as she told her, "Thank you so much," before giving her a hug.

She hugged her back before eventually heading back into the real world via the portal.

A week later...

Hannah had just come back from Daytona Beach for a Spring Break vacation, though she kept her torrid relationship in another dimension a secret to David. While at UCLA, her teacher announced a new foreign exchange student.

Hannah's jaw dropped upon noticing the woman. However, she wasn't as timid as she used to be.

As she sat next to her, she said, "Guten Tag, das Fraulein."

"Hello,"

"My name is Liese Adenauer; I am from Austria." Liese replied with a smile.

A flash of surprise appeared on Hannah's face before replying, "I'm Hannah Winfield. By the way, I'm in the same class as you are."

She smiled back, then Liese said, "How about after class we can talk over lunch? I look forward to getting to know each other."

"So do I." Hannah replied.
